1. YRU, the initial step of waste management is waste sorting, providing four separate bins to dispose four types of waste. At all compounds around campus, garbage bins are provided in separation to dispose four types of waste - General waste, Recyclable waste, organic waste, and Hazardous wastes. As mentioned above, the initial step of waste management implemented at university is waste sorting by providing four separate bins to dispose four types of waste. 
2. Projects implemented on the purpose are to minimize and reuse organic wastes such as Students from Environmental Sciences major joined together to upcycle key chain using leftover household materials and Recycled bins made from unwanted drinking plastic bottles used around university campus.
